Clean Arteries and a Healthy Heart

A healthy heart is a major plus for our bodies. We can't last much more than a few minutes without it. A healthy heart is essential for a good healthy life.

One of the major stresses on the heart these days is a build up of material deposits on the inside walls of our arteries which reduces the blood flow through those arteries.

The body isn't interested in a reduced blood flow. It needs nutrients and particularly oxygen to be distributed throughout the body via the blood stream within a certain time frame. If you are not getting it quick enough, your energy levels drop and you just can't perform like you should (whether in the bedroom or out of the bedroom!!) So the heart has to compensate and push harder and harder to try and increase the flow until you end up with heart failure. The fact is, you just can't force the Amazon river through a garden hose, it just doesn't work.

So to maintain good health you need to clean up those arteries and keep them clean so your body can continue to function in a normal way. The heart by-pass industry has become the real popular way to go these days and is very well sold by the western medical profession. It's a multi billion dollar industry but is it the only way? Such major surgery is risky, unpleasant, takes a while to get over and costs a fortune.

One other way (and one of the best heart health tips) is to spend a week taking a substance available from the supermarket for a few dollars. The catch is, it is not the most pleasant medicine to take but there are ways around that.

The substance is Cayenne Pepper (or chilli powder). The dose is one level teaspoon per day for one week. When in your bloodstream it breaks down and gets rid of all the built up plaque and stuff leaving your arteries clean.

When I first heard about it, I was told to just mix it in a glass of water or fruit juice and drink it down. I said You're kidding! A healthy heart just isn't worth the process. Then I thought about it ...juice...tomato juice.....what about tomato soup? I could have it with that so I did and broke into a sweat and started panting and was most unimpressed. You see, what I didn't realize at the time was that the mouth and lips are full of receptors that feel the heat and make you feel like you are on fire if you just keep sipping it or swish it around your mouth. Once it leaves the mouth and goes down the throat there are no more heat receptors to pass over so the idea is to move it through the mouth to the throat as quickly and directly as you can.

So I did it like this: Take a glass (about 250ml.), add the juice of one lemon, add one level teaspoon of cayenne pepper, fill with water and mix well. Drink straight down and follow with a glass of straight water. I had to stop half way for a breath and then down the rest. It was hot but it was ok and it gets better as you get used to it.

Once you are through the first week you can switch to a maintenance dose. You can buy a tincture of cayenne (which is not unlike tobasco sauce - in fact that might even work too). A couple of drops in a glass of fruit juice before breakfast works well.

Does it really work? A Naturopath once told me about one of his patients who was about to have a by-pass operation. The Naturopath talked him into one week of cayenne then the patient insisted that the hospital recheck his arteries before the operation. They found no trace of any artery blockage and cancelled the operation. Not knowing the state of my arteries I decided to get stuck into the cayenne pepper. A few years later I developed some heart problems and as part of the diagnosis they decided to check my arteries. The result? Perfectly normal. No problems at all. (my heart problem was related to something else but that is another story).

Still not happy to try the cayenne? No problem, do it the easy way. Cayenne pepper is now available in capsules so just take some pills for a week. Easy! Some health food stores sell them or try mountainroseherbs.com. Do it for a healthy heart.
