How You Eat is One of the Most Important Healthy Eating Tips!

Have you ever heard of Paul McKenna? He has come up with some of the best and most sensible Healthy Eating Tips I have ever come across. He explains it all in his book called "I Can Make You Thin" (he has written a number of other excellent books as well).

I first noticed him on a T.V. series which was supposed to run one show per week for six or seven weeks. The T.V. station shut the show down after only two weeks with no explanation. This made me somewhat curious so I thought for a while then realized that the two main advertisers on that station (both doing a number of adds every day) were selling special diets and diet products while Paul McKenna's healthy eating plan was explaining that you could lose all the weight you wanted to without using any such things (1 + 1 = 2!!).

He explains much in his book but his method revolves around four basic rules.

1/- If you are hungry, eat! In other words, don't try and starve yourself or skip meals, if you are hungry, eat (of course the opposite also applies, if you are not hungry, don't eat. He also teaches how to avoid 'emotional eating').

2/- Eat whatever you want to eat. Forget about diets and fat free diet food! If you don't like it don't eat it! People who follow this program find themselves naturally choosing more healthy foods.

3/- Eat consciously, deliberately and slowly. Chew your food fully and slowly. While chewing your current mouthful, don't start shoveling more food onto your fork. Put your knife and fork down, don't watch T.V. or get distracted just focus on the eating. You will discover a variety of extra tastes and textures in your food. Over time you will find that good quality foods are more enjoyable.

4/- When you have had enough (you're no longer hungry) stop eating. This takes a bit of practice for some people to learn but you can do it.
